Still in the Crate: 1981 Honda CBX SuperSport

So you sat there in your dorm room, wearing your white, pleated slacks and penny loafers, sipping your Nescafe while drooling over that Honda CBX road test in Cycle Magazine.   Those header pipes kept you up at night, and you dreamt of pulling up to class on that CBX.  But, you never did get to pull the trigger on that inline behemoth.  Well, it seems that one of our favorite websites may be offering you a solace for all of those regretful memories.  Offered on Bring a Trailer  this week is a “new” Honda CBX, never assembled, still in the crate.  Crated vintage bikes are a rarity, whenever they come up they garner attention, but a CBX in the crate is definitely something special.

Offered at no reserve, this Honda is going to provide it’s new owner with quite a dilema.  Do you leave it in it’s crated state?  It’d probably be the only one like it in the world.   Or, do you free the inline-six from it’s metal box prison and put it on the road as surely God intended?  Then there’s another thought- sure its never been used, but after nearly forty years, rubber seals and gaskets have to be past their best, right?  Man…tough calls to be made here.  Regardless, it sure is a special time capsule that is pure joy to look at.

I have been surfing on-line more than 3 hours today, yet I by no means found any fascinating article like yours. It is lovely worth sufficient for me. In my view, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content material as you did, the web will be much more useful than ever before.
