What says “Merry Christmas” better than a gorgeous, red Benelli 350 sitting in the snow? Okay, probably a lot of things, but…this Italian stunner from www.classicavenue.com caught our eye and had just the right amount of Holiday spirit to warrant a post.
This 1968 Wards Riverside/Benneli was found at the famed Mid-Ohio swapmeet, rusty but complete, by bike collector and restorer, Steve Canellos. Sometimes “cafe racers” can go awry, but Steve made just the right amount of subtle tweaks to this bike to make it look like something Benelli could have, or should have sold back in ’68. We especially like the Ducati Mach 1-esque rear sets and seat. The Mikuni CR carb with custom alloy intake looks pretty trick as well. With about 20 hp on tap, the sub-250lb Italian four-stroke thumper ought to have plenty of go to match it’s racy looks. Want this thing to be sitting under your Christmas tree this year? It can happen. Give the guys at Classic Avenue a call, it’s for sale.
