The yearly Ironstone Concours in Murphys, California has been a Nor-Cal tradition going on 22 years. Featuring the West Coast’s finest automobiles and motorcycles, the concours is set in the incredibly scenic Ironstone Vineyards, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Known as “Gold Country” to the locals, this area was originally settled as a string of gold mining camps. Prospectors arriving to Murphys on the weekend of September 22, 2018, were looking for a different kind of gold-automotive gold.

One of the draws of “Ironstone” is the shear variety of vehicles on hand at the concours. Nearly every aspect of four-wheeled vehicles is represented; from turn of the century Model T Fords, to early-seventies Italian muscle cars. There are also classes for motorcycles, vintage recreational trailers, tractors, farm equipment, and even amphibious cars! It would be nearly impossible to visit the Ironstone Concours without seeing something of interest-even if you weren’t a vintage motor sports enthusiast.
